We at IBECOSOL are very concerned about the environment. That is why our whole company policy, our growth and development strategies focus entirely on the launch of sustainable products, protecting the environment and respecting nature. Following this line IBECOSOL has always opted for natural fuels as opposed to fuels from mineral origin producing greenhouse gases.

We are convinced that the future of our sector will see the rationing of raw materials as consequence of a global awareness which will help to understand the importance of using natural and thus renewable fuels and will therefore increase the use and demand for natural aromas supplied by charcoal, lumber, wooden firelighters or sawdust briquettes.

That is why our headquarters have been audited and certified according to the norm ISO 14.001 and so we sell part of our products FSC and ZERO CO2.certified.

The FSC certificate which is recognized worldwide confirms that the woods used for the production of charcoal come from sustainable forests whose exploitation is regulated. To obtain the certification IBECOSOL had to undergo an extensive audit with satisfactory results. This also underlines our efforts to further enhance the sustainability of our procedures and products.

The certification ZERO CO2, granted by the Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo was obtained after all CO2 emissions and other global warming gases being generated during production and transport of the charcoal and any other commercial activities related thereof had been audited. All emissions were analyzed including those produced by the client after having purchased the product, brought it home and used for barbecuing. The entire calculation and evaluation of this Carbon Footprint allows us to compensate the emissions through environmental projects carried out in Third World countries authorized by the United Nations and the World Bank.
